I would like to suggest that the fee for using a wagon yard be reduced. If I’m not mistaken, the current fee of 150 tb was set when the price of using port authority to travel was set at 500 tb, which represents a significantly lower price to pay. Now that using a port authority costs 300 tb, the savings for using a wagon yard are not as impressive. I think that the cost of using a wagon yard should be decreased to provide more incentive for nations to build them, since they cost a lot to build, with the 15k tb setup fee, 2500 tb fee per town connected, and the time it takes to build roads between connected towns.

An alternative idea I had for this was to allow nations to decide what fee to charge on their own, between 0 and 300 tb. Instead of the money going to the server, however, it would go to the nation owning the wagon yard. The money could either be paid to the owner of the town where the person is travelling from or to, or it could all just go to the owner of the nation capital. I believe that nations would pick a price that best suits the needs of their nation, balancing profit from fees with the desire to draw more people with a cheap transportation network.

I’m not sure if the second option is possible with our current plugin, but I think it would make the server more interesting and allow nations to recoup some of the costs of building a wagon yard.

The change for port authorities to be 300 was made at the same time as setting wagon yards to be 150 (half the cost). I agree that it could use a change.

Now that's an interesting idea and I kinda dig it. I'll bring it up at our next staff meeting
