Building Requirements

 

Our goal at the World of Eldin, is to provide a simple and efficient medium to effectively running your town if you chose to go down that road.

The way our new building method will work goes as following according to the above table. Depending on your city size (reflecting your in game rank, ex. Baron=3600 tiles) you will have two building slots available. Now that you’re aware of how many slots you have available (can be found in tables above) you will be able to chose as many buildings as your tier allows, from anywhere except the nation area.

Common Misconception

The building it self doesn’t need to occupy the minimum size required for that building. What needs to follow the size requirements is the region associated with it. Lets look at an example: The town hall of a city doesn’t need to be exactly 400 tiles big (this being the minimum size). The region of the town hall is what needs to be at least 400 tiles big. We don’t want to force players to build things differently from what they planned based on our size requirements.

 


Required Buildings


 

Town Hall

Setup fee= 10,000tb

Bonus’ applied: Allows declaration of town. Without Town Hall, land is considered to be under the “large non-city” category.

-Puts the name of the city on the Dynmap, similar to how the old Landmark building worked.

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 400 tile subzone

☐ Must list building rules on an easy to find and see message board. If there are no rules, it is assumed that people can build what/however they like.

☐ Building rules must be complete prior to protection of building. After being protected, you will not have permission to edit the signs. This is to prevent owners from changing the rules solely to evict another player.
 


Helper Buildings


This is an optional building and does not use up a town build slot.

Allows towns to hire helpers.

Must be upgraded to allow for more helpers.

Helper rank is based on highest ranking owner.

Town Helpers must be given permission to use the Helper House.

 

Tier 1

Setup fee = 1,000tb

Bonus’ applied: allows for 1 Town Helper

Requirements to construct:

☐ Town must be Village sized

☐ Must be at least a 25 tile subzone

☐ 1 bed

 

Tier 2

Setup fee = 2,000tb

Bonus’ applied: allows for 2 Town Helpers

☐ Town must be Town sized

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone

☐ 2 beds

☐ 1 workbench

☐ 2 double chests

☐ 1 furnace

 

Tier 3

Setup fee = 3,000tb

Bonus’ applied: allows for 3 Town Helpers

Requirements to construct:

☐ Town must be City sized

☐ Must be at least a 150 tile subzone

☐ 3 small bedrooms

☐ 3 double chests

☐ 1 workbench

☐ 2 furnaces

☐ 1 message board

 

Tier 4

Setup fee = 4,000tb

Bonus’ applied: allows for 4 Town Helpers

Requirements to constructs:

☐ Town must be Kingdom Sized

☐ Must be at least a 225 tile subzone

☐ 4 small bedrooms

☐ 4 double chests

☐ 2 workbenches

☐ 3 furnaces

Tier 5

Setup fee = 5,000tb

Bonus’ applies: allows for 5 Town Helpers

Infrastructure Buildings


Barracks

Setup fee = 12,500tb

Bonus’ applied: Allows pvp/mob deny flags in the city. Also needed to declare war.

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 225 tile subzone

☐ 5 beds

☐ 5 Small chests

☐ Walls, flooring, and a roof

Can be used as a War Target Building

 

Dragon Travel

Setup fee= 17,500tb

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 225 tile subzone

☐ A Duke or greater sized town

Will provide a station to the network of all the cities with a dragon travel station, and cost 250tb to use. Some form of tower or platform must be built for the building

 

Setup fee= 30,000tb

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 400 tile subzone

☐ A Duke or greater sized town

Will provide a station to the network of all the cities with a station. 500 tb per use. Some form of transportation (Ship, Trian, Blimp, Cart, etc) must be built for the building

Market Square

Setup fee= 12,500tb

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 225 tile subzone

☐ Must have the space for a minimum of 2 player shops (do not need to be sold, but must be marked out and at least 25 tiles in size)

☐ Must have some sort of fountain or center piece statue (does not need to be in the center, only inside the region.)

 Economic Buildings


Cannot be used in combination with Trade Hub

Goldsmith

Setup fee= T1 – 7500, T2 – 15,000, T3- 22,500

Population Needed = T1 – 0, T2 – 5, T3 – 15

Bonus’ applied: +5% at T1, 10% at T2, 15% at T3 to ore sell price

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone for a small smithy

☐ Must meet all prerequisites for Gold (click here for information)

☐ 50 additional gold blocks to the required blocks to have gold listed in servershop (used as decoration, or on buildings in view)

 

Iron Mongers

Setup fee= T1 – 7,500, T2 – 15,000, T3- 22,500

Population Needed = T1 – 0, T2 – 5, T3 – 15

Bonus’ applied: +5% at T1, 10% at T2, 15% at T3 to ore sell price

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone for a small smelter

☐ Must have all prerequisites for Iron (Click here for more information)

☐ 50 additional Iron blocks to the required blocks to have Iron listed in servershop (used as decoration, or on buildings in view)

 

Gem Polisher

Setup fee= T1 – 7,500, T2 – 15,000, T3- 22,500

Population Needed = T1 – 0, T2 – 5, T3 – 15

Bonus’ applied: +5% at T1, 10% at T2, 15% at T3 to emerald or diamond sell price

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone for a small polishing building

☐ Must has all prerequisites for Diamond or Emerald (Click here for more information)

☐ 20 additional diamond/ emerald blocks to the required blocks to have either ore listed in servershop (used as decoration, or on buildings in view)

 

Baker

Setup fee= T1 – 7,500, T2 – 15,000, T3- 22,500

Population Needed = T1 – 0, T2 – 3, T3 – 10

Bonus’ applied: +10% at T1, 20% at T2, 30% at T3 to baked goods sell price

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone for a Bakery

☐ Shop must meet prerequisites for breads, cakes or pies. (Click here for more information)

☐ Must have at least 5 cakes, bread, or pie either places in case of cake, or in an item frame.

 

Butcher

Setup fee= T1 – 7,500, T2 – 15,000, T3- 22,500

Population Needed = T1 – 0, T2 – 3, T3 – 10

Bonus’ applied: +10% at T1, 20% at T2, 30% at T3 to leather or meat item sell price

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone for a Butchery

☐ Shop must meet prerequisites for pork, beef, chicken, or rabbit (Click here for more information)

☐ Must have at least 5 beef, pork, or chicken in an Item Frame

 

 

Grocer

Setup fee= T1 – 7,500, T2 – 15,000, T3- 22,500

Population Needed = T1 – 0, T2 – 3, T3 – 10

Bonus’ applied: +10% at T1, 20% at T2, 30% at T3 to produce sell price

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone for a Grocer

☐ Shop must meet prerequisites for carrots, potatoes, beets, or melons. (Click here for more information)

☐ Must have at least 5 carrots, potatoes, or melon blocks either placed in case of melons, or in an item frame.

 

Fish Monger

Setup fee= T1 – 7,500, T2 – 15,000, T3- 22,500

Population Needed = T1 – 0, T2 – 5, T3 – 15

Bonus’ applied: +10% at T1, 20% at T2, 30% at T3 to fish or cooked fish sell price

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone for a small fish monger building

☐ Must has all prerequisites to buy Cooked Fish or Cooked Salmon (Click here for more information)

☐ Town must have some sort of dock building in town

 


 War Buildings


Fletcher

Setup fee = T1 – 15,000, T2 – 30,000, T3-45,000

Population Needed = T1 – 0, T2  -4, T3 – 8

Bonus applied:

T1 – Extra stack of arrows

T2 – 5 arrows of poison I per life

T3 – Bows given Power II

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone for a small fletchery

☐ Chest with feathers, flint and sticks (To be made for arrows)

 

 

Armory

Setup fee = T1 – 15,000, T2 – 30,000, T3 – 45,000

Population Needed = T1 – 0, T2  -4, T3 – 8

Bonus’ applied:

T1 – Iron armor

T2 – Diamond Armor

T3 – Protection II on Armor

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone for a small Armorer

☐ Lava Pool (1 to 25 tiles big)

☐ 3 Anvils

☐ 2 Small chests

☐ Filled water container (either a source block on the ground, or in a cauldron)

 

Weaponsmith

Setup fee = T1 – 15,000, T2 – 30,000, T3-45,000Population Needed = T1 – 0, T2  -4, T3 – 8

Bonus applied:

T1 – Iron Swords

T2 – Diamond swords

T3 – Swords given Sharpness II

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone for a small weaponsmith

☐ Lava Pool (1 to 25 tiles big)

☐ Filled water container (either a source block on the ground, or in a cauldron)

 

Alchemist

Setup fee = T1 – 15,000, T2 – 30,000, T3-45,000

Population Needed = T1 – 0, T2  -4, T3 – 8

Bonus applied:

T1 – 3 Potions of Healing I or Strength I

T2 – 3 Splash Potions of Healing I or Strength I

T3 – 3 Area Potions of Poison I or Weakness I

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone for a small alchemy lab

☐ 4 Potion stands

☐ 4 Cauldrons

☐ 2 Small chests

☐ 15 Bookshelves

 

 


Misc Buildings


Mob Arena

Setup fee = 5000tb

Bonus’ applied: Allows for a mob arena for events/free play

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 400 tile subzone (Larger sizes will not increase the cost of building)

☐ Layout built of the arena floor, and one waiting room needed under the same plot.

☐ Placing obstacles/hills etc are allowed, but hiding holes or other designs that give unfair advantages to a player will not be accepted.

 

Nether Portal Or End Portal

Setup fee = 15,000tb

Bonus’ applied: Allows for a Nether/End Portal to be built inside your city.

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone

☐ Presently nothing else required!

 

Graveyard

Setup fee = 17,500tb

Pre-Reqs = Must have a DT or Road to Spawn Portal or Spawn

Bonus’ applied: Deaths close to your city will spawn here, instead of another spawn

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 400 tile subzone

☐ 5 grave sites

 

Stable

Setup fee = 5000tb

Bonus’ applied: Adds an area where players can purchase mount items and mobs used for faster travel

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 225 tile subzone for a stable

☐ Building/stable with a small pen for animals (animals do not actually need to be there)

☐ Connected to a road in the city (plot needs to be touching a road)

Miscellaneous information:

☐ Adds a small “Servershop” that would sell horses, mules, donkeys, llamas, saddles, and nametags

 

Barn

Setup fee= 5000tb

Bonus’ applied: selling of passive mobs in the barn

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 225 tile subzone for a Barn

☐ Building/barn with a small pen for animals (animals do not need to be there)

Miscellaneous information:

☐ Adds a small “Servershop” that would sell  cows, chickens, rabbits, pigs, sheeps, and mooshrooms, and leads

 

Pet Shop

Setup fee= 5000tb

Bonus’ applied: selling of tamable mobs in the pet shop

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 225 tile subzone for a pet shop

☐ Building/pet shop with a small pen for animals (animals do not need to be there)

Miscellaneous Information:

☐ Adds a small “Servershop” that would sell wolves, parrots, ocelots, and nametags

 

Spleef Arena

Setup fee = 5000tb

Bonus’ applied: Allows a spleef arena to be built

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be a square

☐ Minimum 225 tiles, MAX 900 tiles

☐ Must have between 3 and 20 floors for play

Miscellaneous information:

☐ The small join/winner area needs to be near the arena, and needs only to house a small area where those who lost spawn to, and the winner spawns to a seperate place. This area should be at least 100 tiles (in some square rectangle shape) The max size for this area is undefined(the max is flexible on this as it depends on how nice the town itself wants it just no less then 100)

 

Scrap Yard

Setup fee= 8000tb

Bonus’ applied= Place for players to sell “scrap metal” such as clocks, compasses, buckets, iron fences, etc. for 50% of their normal worth in iron/gold in a server shop. (ex. bucket = 3 iron, would sell to a recycler for 12tb)

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 225 tile subzone for a Scrap Yard

☐ Anvil and “Scrap heap” totally 10 scrap items placed in the building area.

Prerequisites:

☐ Market Square

 

Tavern

Setup fee = 15,000tb

Bonus’ applied: Allows for tavern quests

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 625 subzone for a tavern

☐ 3 rooms with beds

☐ 3 tables with chairs

☐ 1 bar for a barkeep

 


Nation Buildings


All Nation Buildings have a 15k setup fee and follow the rules listed in the picture above

 

Embassy

Setup fee = 15,000tb

Bonus’ applied: Allows for a country to be founded (Only city sized cities and higher)

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 625 tile subzone for an Embassy building

☐ Flag of YOUR city is needed inside

☐ Must be at least a 25 tiles big area (about) sectioned off for each city owner to be able to decorate and place info about his/her city. This is basically a 25 tile big area of sovereign land for the foreign city.

 

Keep

Setup fee = 15,000tb

☐ See “Barracks” in “Infrastructure Buildings”  for a list of requirements for the building itself.

☐ Acts as a barracks for all of a nation’s cities.  Every city in the nation will have a “barracks” without a building slot being taken up.

 

Adventures Guild

Setup fee = 15,000tb

Requirements to Construct:

☐ 625 tile subzone w/ Portal

☐ Decorated with Sword item frames & Armor-stands

☐ A mead hall for the adventurers to rest in when not… well… adventuring

☐ Board with explanation of the Dungeon World or of the guild

 

Trade Guild

Setup fee = 15,000tb

Bonus’ applied: Allows importation and exportation of one material PER building, for servershop.  Same as trade hub.

Requirements to construct:

☐ Must be at least a 100 subzone

☐ Must be in a nation

☐ Both trading cities need to agree and build trade-hubs in both cities

☐ Each building must have a protected sign stating what material is going where, and what material is being received

☐ Each building must have at least 10 blocks of the ore being transported [Solid blocks, not ore blocks]

☐ Multiple trade-hubs are allowed

 

 

Jail

Setup fee = 15,000tb

☐ Must be at least a 100 tile subzone for a small jail

☐ Sets up a jail in the Nation Capital so that the players may laugh and point at those who are punished by the admins for their wrong-doings.  A simply fun and unique building.

 

Dragon Pit

Setup fee = 15,000tb

☐ Must be at least a 225 tile subzone

☐ Building must have walls, roof is optional

☐ Requires a DT station in the nation capital

☐ Provides free one-way travel FROM all towns in a nation TO that nation’s capital
